Belts

 Belts are a shop specialty and are cut from the hides and hand dyed by Mike, the "Head Beggar". Buckles are solid brass and are changeable by means of a screw attachment. Tell us your waist size and we will add a 2 inch clothing allowance to make a proper belt size. We give a range of holes. Basic colors are Black, Dark Brown, Russet (a medium brown), Light Brown and Cordovan. We can fit ANY WAIST SIZE.
Our belts are cut from 8/9 oz tooling spanish shoulder, meaning the leather was tanned in Spain and is suitable for design work and hand dying. We also offer our belts in English bridle leather, tanned int UK . This leather is suitable for heavy use and abuse. Portugese double bends are our third belt leather; heavier than the spanish and with a more flexible hand than the English, it sems that this leather is "just right". Notebooks

 Our Notebooks are made from durable 5-6 oz. Spanish Shoulder; a premium carving leather. Carving designs are done by hand, meaning they are cut by knife and hammered with chisels in the traditional manner of Leathersmiths. Colors are brushed on; the leather hand dyed.
All stitching is done by hand. Available in 2 sizes. Small Notepads accept a 5"x8" pad. Large Notebooks accept 81/2"x11" pads. Priced by size and carving intricacy.
 Rarely done commercially; Mike has spent 30 years perfecting his leather carving skills. Notebooks are presently done when the mood hits...............sometimes we have them....sometimes we don't. Pretty much depends on how much time Mike has on his hands with nothing better to do.......or perhaps when Rene' tells him to make up a couple. Give us a call, maybe we have some for sale.
